January 12, 2012 - Ii is with great sadness
that I tell you of the passing of Folklaur Nathan
Hale. "Nathan" was the constant companion of George and the devoted
guardian of the late Dawn Laubenstein. Tom and I send our sincere
condolences to George. I think Dawn missed Nathan so much that she finally
called him to join her in the hereafter. |

Story WC CGC STAR.
"Sailor"
earned his 1st leg toward his AKC Beginner
Novice Obedience B title taking 1st place with a score of 190 out of 200.
Then he went on to earn his 1st leg toward his AKC Rally Novice title
B taking 2nd place with a score of 97 out of 100 at Dayton Dog Training, in
Dayton Ohio. WHAT A DAY!!! |

December 16, 2011 - I am saddened to report the
passing of Folklaur Morgana.
"Morgan" was the beloved companion of
Lisa
(Lawler) Durandurdu. Lisa wrote
- "Words can not describe how devastated I am at the loss of her. It was too short a time, but we never have them long enough, do we?
I want to thank you for the opportunity to have one of your special dogs, she
was beautiful inside and out. She had such a personality and was loved by everyone. We would walk everyday
and several of our neighbors would wait to say hello to her. She was like the mayor of our neighborhood." -
We are so sorry for your loss. |

shows where he won another Best Male Puppy and Winners Dog for a major totaling
45 more points. He now has 100 UKC championship points with two majors toward
his UKC CH. He only needs another major to finish. |

L, So today's recap: Apple
was presented today with a "Dogs for all Reasons" award at the nationals. Dogs
have to show in conformation (we showed in the "special attractions" class) and
we had to qualify in at least 2 different venues which we did (agility, rally).
It was very nice they gave us a silver plate that said LRC "Dogs for all
Reasons". We
also participated in the "Challenge" competed in 3 or more venues (agility,
rally, special attraction class, and hunt which is this weekend) and qualified
in at least two (so far agility, and rally). They gave us an "Up to the
Challenge" ribbon medallion. It
was all so
very special! Wish you were here!"

"Pilot"
completed his 4th Master Agility Championship.
Marietta wrote "At his
age, I am just so proud of him being able and willing to compete in
agility! We are just "in sync" with each other when we compete, as I've
been told. Now that we have accomplished this, we
are hard at work on earning his UD title in obedience. I have entered him
in several trials during the winter. I know he can do it! Wish us luck."
I am so proud of what Pilot and Marietta have
accomplished and send my best wishes for continued success. |

October 7, 2011 - Very Sad News.
Folklaur Mrs Valentine
passed away at 12
years old. "Hailey" was the much loved member of the Shannon family.
Jim and
Maryann were very loving owners who did everything to make Hailey's life a
joyful one. Jim wrote: "Maryann and
my three children are heartbroken. She was so much a
part of our family that just walking in this house without her
greeting us will take a long time to pass ...maybe never ..but maybe that's
just the way it should be...I asked our Lord to take her tonight and he did
....Laura I am so sad but I thank you for giving us a special family member
that will be in our hearts and minds and soul forever". Our
sympathy goes out to the Shannon Family. |

AAD TQX CDX JH U-SH WC CGC "Pilot" just earned another AKC title in agility: "TQX", (Triple Q Excellent). It means that Pilot qualified in all 3 events: Standard, Jumpers & Fast, at one day's trial, 10 times! In USDAA agility, Pilot runs up to 5 events in one day! |

September 28, 2011 - Sadly,
Folklaur Secret of Weeping Willow
has passed away. "Willow" was a
brood bitch for Paws With A Cause service dog organization. Miraculously, 3
of "Willow's" 10 prematurely born puppies survived.
I hope that she
passed along some of her special qualities to her surviving
babies, and that they become service dogs and make her
proud. Willow lived with and was loved by
Jill Moore and Aimee Brumleve. I am so sorry
for your personal and humanitarian loss. |

2011 - It is with great sadness that we have learned of
the passing of
Folklaur Ticonderoga Mtn Boy.
"Moose" was owned
and cherished by Trish, Bob and
Emily Romano. Trish wrote "Moose
& I had a extra special bond. He was the best hiking buddy anyone could
have, was SO sweet & was a truly GOOD dog! He was so loved & it will take a
long time to absorb the sting of his loss...
Moose is buried next to Magalloway. I like to imagine them young &
playing ball together again, along with a third large lab, Buck- not met
during their lifetime, but also waiting for us."
