About Us

Folklaur
Labrador Retrievers
was
established as a HOBBY in 1978 by Laura Dedering with the arrival of
"Raven",
a promising 9 week old black puppy. Raven was
purchased as a show prospect from Marilyn Reynolds of Finchingfield Labradors
in Virginia.
She became Champion Finchingfield Folklaur CGC TDI and is the
foundation of my line, appearing in all of the Folklaur pedigrees.
The photo of her beautiful head appears as our
logo.
As
a small hobby breeder,
my purpose is to
produce beautiful, healthy, intelligent and loving Labradors of all three colors to
exhibit in breed and obedience shows and for use as therapy dogs.
I only breed my
dogs occasionally and with the intention of keeping a show prospect for myself
or on
co-ownership with other highly dedicated Labrador exhibitors.
Therefore, pet puppies may
only be available once or twice a year to highly screened and qualified families.
I am an
AKC
JUDGE of Labrador Retrievers and Flat-Coated Retrievers
and
author of "The Lab-oratory", a column in the INTERNATIONAL LABRADOR REVIEW.
For more information about me, please see my
BIOGRAPHY.

My husband and I live
on a beautiful 14 acre farm
with a pond in
Upper Mt. Bethel, PA. We are
close
to the Delaware Water Gap
and only 4 miles from Route 80 Exit 4.
We share our home with our wonderful Labs
who are all housepets.
