Skylar's Pedigree
Skylar has been my very special
girl - starting from the moment our eyes met when I
visited her litter of twelve. I immediately hoped that the Yellow Collar Girl would come
home with me - and I got very lucky! Skylar is from
Rhiannon Houchins' first Feather Downs litter and she became my first
champion and Rhiann's first homebred champion.
Skylar had a wonderful show
career. Her first two points came in her first show at
eight months old under Col. Jerry Weiss. Her last
points came as a five point major at just over age two.
All of her championship points were owner handled by Rhiann
and me. Skylar was the consummate show girl - she
sparkled in the ring, never put a foot down wrong, floated
at the other end of the lead, and delighted in every moment.
Skylar and I were devoted to one
another. Although an illness prevented her from ever
being bred, she stood sentry over all of my litters. Skylar
was the household cheerleader and never missed
an opportunity to make life a party. Although her age
slowed her steps, her spirit remained intact and she remained a
force to reckoned with until the very end of her life!
